riginally from Virginia, Buddy started in the industry by working alongside his father in a commercial electrical construction business. The family later ventured into subdivision development and commercial government projects. Eventually Buddy formed his own company concentrating on residential construction using American Standard Homes products. Later, accompanied by his family, he moved to Hilton Head, South Carolina and there had his own construction, cabinet and electrical company. Then, more than twenty years ago, he brought his daughter to a camp near Cashiers, North Carolina. It was then that he too fell under the spell of this area's magnificent attraction. Soon, he was living here. And, it was only natural that he became involved as a builder.

Speaking about the area, Buddy says, "Our trees, rivers, waterfalls, lakes and mountains are a focal point in Western North Carolina. It is one of the reasons people who have traveled all over the world decide to come back. I did, and I've been here twenty-one years."
